Film Workshop

San Francisco Art & Film for Teenagers

A comprehensive film studies program for teens and college students. Offers a weekly filmmaking workshop October-June and a 9-day summer film intensive.

Every year the Film Workshop holds a festival in June showcasing the great work created by our students in the past year. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, not only were we unable to hold a festival, our Spring semester had to be held online, interrupting what would have been the time when most of the students’ films were produced. Instead we offer this collection of work from current students and recent graduates, much of which was filmed and edited by the students at home.

The 2020-21 Film Workshop will go forward, starting with online classes in the fall. We hope to be able to return with an in-person festival full of films in June 2021!
